Payday Peanut Butter Protein Shake
Share
If you love the combination of peanut butter and something sweet, this Payday Peanut Butter Shake is such a good treat. It’s creamy, filling, high in protein, and made with very little added sugar.
The cottage cheese gives it an extra boost of protein and makes the shake thick and creamy without giving it a cottage cheese flavor. Peanut butter adds richness, while a little maple extract gives it that sweet, almost candy-like flavor that reminds me of a Payday bar.
It makes a great quick breakfast, afternoon snack, or sweet treat when you’re craving something a little more indulgent.
Payday Peanut Butter Shake
Ingredients
- 2/3 cup milk, any kind
- 1/3 cup cottage cheese
- 2 tablespoons peanut butter
- 1 tablespoon stevia sweetener
- 1 scoop protein powder
- 1 teaspoon maple extract
- 5 large ice cubes
Directions
Add the milk, cottage cheese, peanut butter, stevia, protein powder, maple extract, and ice to a blender.
Blend until completely smooth and creamy.
Pour into your favorite glass and enjoy right away!
A Few Notes
You can use whatever milk you normally keep on hand, including dairy or unsweetened almond milk. Vanilla or unflavored protein powder both work well, although vanilla will make the shake a little sweeter.
If you prefer a thicker shake, add another ice cube or two. For a thinner consistency, simply add a splash more milk.
This has quickly become one of my favorite ways to enjoy something sweet while still getting plenty of protein—and the peanut butter and maple combination makes it feel much more like a treat than a protein shake.
